The members
Monsta X are Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney and I.M. Atwood Magazine lists Shownu as leader and vocalist, Kihyun as main vocalist, Joohoney as main rapper and producer, Hyungwon as vocalist and DJ/producer, and I.M as rapper and producer. Three of the six are credited as producers. The group debuted in Korea and has spent more than a decade building its sound, a point Atwood also makes about Unfold.
The partnership
Monsta X are a Korean pop group from Starship Entertainment. In partnership with Starship, Intertwine Records is responsible for all Monsta X English-language albums, distributed worldwide.
The group was one of the two first artists named when Intertwine launched with BMG in June 2021, according to Billboard. Starship remains the group's home label in Korea. The two companies plan around each other, so an English release fits the band's Korean and Japanese schedule.
What Intertwine has released for Monsta X
Apple Music lists three current Monsta X releases with an Intertwine copyright line:
- baby blue (single, November 14, 2025). Apple Music: "℗ 2025 Intertwine Records under exclusive license to Create Music Group."
- growing pains (single, February 6, 2026). Apple Music: "℗ 2026 Intertwine Records under exclusive license to Create Music Group."
- Unfold (album, April 3, 2026, ten tracks). Apple Music: "℗ 2026 Intertwine Records."
Both singles appear on Unfold. The album's ten tracks are heal, growing pains, baby blue, this!, before you met me, glass half empty, main attraction, enemies with benefits, on our way and sorry to myself.
Discogs lists several physical editions of Unfold under Intertwine Records, LLC, including CD and 12-inch vinyl versions.
Unfold
Unfold is the group's third English-language album. It follows All About Luv (2020) and The Dreaming (2021). Unfold reached No. 2 on Billboard's Top Album Sales chart.
Atwood Magazine reviewed it on release day. Its review called Unfold the band's "third English album" and said it "trades polish for something more personal." The same review compared it with the earlier English records, which it described as "more polished, radio-friendly and designed for crossover appeal."
baby blue came out first, in November 2025, and growing pains followed in February 2026, so two of the ten songs were already out when the album arrived. Unfold was also pressed on CD and 12-inch vinyl, with seven physical editions listed on Discogs.
The Dreaming
In October 2021, Rolling Stone reported that The Dreaming would arrive on December 10 through Intertwine, with BMG, in collaboration with Starship Entertainment. The ten-song set included the single "One Day." The Dreaming reached No. 3 on Billboard's Top Album Sales chart.
The Dreaming is not in the current Apple Music US catalog search, so it is not on the releases page, which lists only releases verified with an Intertwine copyright line.
The US record before the label
Monsta X built a US audience before Intertwine existed. The milestones below belong to the group, and some were released by other labels:
- Signed to Epic Records in 2019
- First K-pop act at the iHeartRadio Music Festival (2019)
- Headlined Staples Center in Los Angeles (2019)
- All About Luv, released by Epic Records in February 2020, debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200
- US Top 40 pop radio, a first for a K-pop group
All About Luv was the group's first all-English album. Apple Music lists it as "℗ 2020 Epic Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment." Intertwine's English-language work picks up from that point.
On the road
The group's current world tour reached the United States in October 2026. The Kraze reviewed the show at EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia, which it described as the first stop on the US leg of the tour.
Touring and releases are planned together. A new English single tends to work best when it lands near US dates, radio visits and television.
Who works on Monsta X releases
Intertwine runs the release. LUSIVEX handles marketing, PR and radio for Intertwine releases. Eshy Gazit manages the group in the United States through EG Management. Starship Entertainment runs the group's career in Korea.
