The short version
Intertwine Records is a record label. Eshy Gazit founded it in 2021 in partnership with BMG. The label has offices in New York, Los Angeles and Seoul.
It is not a BMG subsidiary. It is also not a management company. Intertwine releases records, and it does that with partners on each side of the Pacific.
The current roster is Monsta X and Wonho. In partnership with Starship Entertainment, Intertwine is responsible for Monsta X English-language albums. Wonho is signed to Intertwine for his US activities.
How it started
Billboard reported the launch on June 15, 2021. The story named Monsta X and Wonho as the first two artists in the partnership with BMG. Gazit told Billboard the label was built to "support artists from Asia and all over the world to bring their music language to as many people as possible."
In the same piece, Gazit called Intertwine "a worldwide initiative to connect people and cultures through music." That line is still the plan.
The label came out of years of work on the US side of K-pop. Gazit was the US managing partner for BTS from 2016 to 2018, during the run that took the group to the 2017 American Music Awards and onto US late night television. He has managed Monsta X since 2018. A label was the next step: a way to own the release, not only the campaign around it.
What the label does
A record label decides when music comes out, how it reaches stores and streaming services, and how it is introduced to an audience. For an artist arriving from another market, each of those choices carries more weight. Release dates collide with home-market schedules. Language choices affect radio. Distribution has to work in several countries at once.
Intertwine handles that layer. In practice, the work covers:
- Release planning for singles and albums, including English-language records
- Delivery to distribution partners, so the music reaches Apple Music, Spotify and physical retail
- Physical formats, such as the CD and vinyl editions of Unfold
- Coordination with the artist's home label, so a US release fits the artist's wider calendar
The label keeps its own name on the work. Apple Music lists the 2026 Monsta X album Unfold as "℗ 2026 Intertwine Records." Wonho's album Syndrome carries "℗ 2025 Intertwine Records under exclusive license to Create Music Group." The full list is on the releases page.
Who does what
Three companies sit around an Intertwine release. Each has a separate job.
Intertwine Records is the label. It owns or controls the release and runs the release plan.
LUSIVEX handles marketing, PR and radio for Intertwine releases. It is a separate company that Gazit founded and leads as CEO. Its US label services are described at lusivex.com.
EG Management is Gazit's management company. Management covers the artist's career as a whole: strategy, touring, partnerships and deals. A label covers the records.
Keeping those roles apart matters. An artist can work with one, two or all three. A LUSIVEX client is not on the label roster unless the label signs that artist.
Home-market partners
Intertwine does not replace an artist's home label. It works next to it.
For Monsta X, that partner is Starship Entertainment in Seoul. Billboard's launch story noted a separate BMG distribution deal for Monsta X Korean albums with Starship, alongside the English-language releases. For Wonho, Billboard noted he would continue working with Highline Entertainment, a Starship subsidiary.
That model shapes how the label plans. A US single has to land on a date that also works in Korea and Japan. Promotion in New York or Los Angeles has to fit around tour dates in Asia, Europe and Latin America.
Offices
New York is where the US business runs. Los Angeles is close to radio, film, television and many of the writers and producers the artists work with. Seoul keeps the label next to its partners and its artists' home base.
Founder
Eshy Gazit founded Intertwine Records. He was named a Billboard International Power Player in 2021 and 2022. He took Monsta X to a No. 5 album on the Billboard 200 with All About Luv in 2020, released by Epic Records, and to US Top 40 pop radio. He also founded EG Management and LUSIVEX, and he is a partner at Maverick Management.
